Larry Clark (American, born January 19, 1943) is a photographer and filmmaker who was born in Tulsa. His mother was a baby photographer, and he picked up the family business at an early age. In his teenage years, Clark started to take pictures of his friends doing drugs, marking the start of what would become his signature photographs of teenagers engaged in drug use and sexual activities. Clark attended the Layton School of Art in Milwaukee, WI.
His work has influenced me for a long time now since his style and the messages he sends with his art relate to my childhood. His whole involvement with punk and skate culture is also something that really represents me and makes me relate to his art even more.
